Ever since I can remember my mom has spent endless hours in the kitchen baking away! It was time we spent together that will never be forgotten. It was during theses times that I was taught a multitude of lessons and not just about baking.
My mom taught us the love of baking. The joy of creating and using what you had to create a masterpiece. Did things come out wrong sometimes? Of course! It was her reaction to times like this that taught us it was okay to make mistakes. That life goes on and you literally pick up the pieces and glue them back together with what else other than frosting. Haha!
Life can throw you unexpected challenges and so can baking and cooking but with a little love and support you can pick up the pieces and glue them back together. I have tried to live my life this way. Cakes and problems may come and go but does life go on? Goodness yes! So get back in the kitchen, whip up something tasty, and move on!
This is my Devil's food cheesecake cake I've created and played around with different flavors. It's so yummy especially due to the fact that I had Rodelle vanilla extract and cocoa powder!
I get myself in the kitchen and whip up one of these to make my worries go away. I create it with love just like my mother taught me! I think this one was created in celebration of my mom being cancer free!!!
